Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

This recipe uses oats and peanut butter POWDER (easily found right in the Wallymart PB aisle!), for ease of cleaning your blender, which is more reason for me to want to use peanut butter! If you don’t like PB – or oats, which get mooshy and sink to the bottom of your smoothie) then avoid using. You can also replace the banana I used with a handful of strawberries if you prefer that. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 individual serving collagen peptide powder

  • Few spoonfuls of whole uncooked oats – I found these Bob’s Red Mill – with protein added – at our local grocery store.

  • Few spoonfuls of vanilla flavored Greek yogurt

  • About 1/2 c chocolate almond milk (this filled up my blender container about halfway, leaving room for some crushed ice)

  • About half scoop protein powder

  • “slurry” made with a tsp or so of peanut butter powder and little splash of water from the sink. I mixed the powder and water together in a small bowl and added it to my smoothie blender container.

  • I added a banana last minute, as well, but you could skip that, or add a handful of strawberries instead, if you prefer.

Directions

  • Just blend up all your ingredients, adding crushed ice (and blend again) if you like your smoothies icy and enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe made a couple of small servings.
