This season’s featured drinks
Oh yeah…a summery, pool and bookclub-toteable, supereasy cocktail that is so light, refreshing and without being too sweet and cloying!
Rum Punch Sparkler
Another yummy summery light cocktail made with my favorite, Siesta Key toasted coconut rum! I’m gonna ask my (adult) kids to stock me up on Siesta Key for my birthday, haha!
Supersimple – just add some crushed ice to a cup, a shot of toasted coconut rum, then fill cup halfway with cherry lightly-flavored sparkling water (I used Bubly sparkling water), then add a generous splash of pineapple juice (I got Dole pineapple-orange juice in the cans, so I could bring it all easily to book club!). Such an easy, good summer sipper! Enjoy!
The 4J Seabreeze Spritzer
In Florida, I had the most yummy, Siesta Key Toasted Coconut Rum in a mojito and I was superhappy to find it was readily available at our local Total Wine here in Texas, cuz I’ll have it handy every summer from now on! Today I wanted to do them for some friends coming over but found myself without mint for mojitos and none at the grocery store so I made up a new drink! Haha, I’m sure its already a “thing,” but going up and down the juice aisle, these alternatives sounded like a good combo for today – so, behold…
Just a simple mix of the following:
shot of Siesta Key Toasted Coconut Rum
couple splashes Ocean Spray Cranberry-Pineapple juice (or you could do Cranberry and Pineapple juice separately but if you use fresh pineapple juice or another kind know it might contain pulp)
big splash of club soda
few big squeezes of fresh lime to cut the sweetness – I like half a lime in mine!
If making for a crowd, cut up a handful of limes and then provide some Nellie & Joe’s Key Lime Juice, so you’re not cutting up a thousand limes that don’t get used (I see this everywhere – every liquor store, most grocery stores)…
It is GREAT. I’ll be drinking this around the pool this summer for sure…and so easy it doesn’t even need its own page, enjoy!
