Orange Barn Cat Chubs

Orange Barn Cat Observations

Are orange cats more friendly and goofy than other cats? Perhaps – some science is behind the notion that orange cats have bolder personalities and may be bigger risk takers than others...after seeing our Chubs in many a precarious situation (the first cat of our three to voluntarily meet a new person or investigate a new mechanical piece of equipment or vehicle, plopping down right in the path of a moving cow or horse, straightup running through the round pen when Ronnie is trying to move a horse around, accompanying us on trail adventures on the property with the horses, just a few examples), I think I’m prone to believing it.

After watching this cute experiment with 2 online kitties named Milo and Poppy, I wanted to see if any of my cats would be interested in sitting in squares taped off with masking tape on the ground. Unfortunately, all three of mine were not…but I wondered if that was the difference between barn cats and indoor cats, perhaps…? The entertainment bar might be raised for cats who function 24/7 in an outdoor environment, maybe…? Here’s how the experiment went with Chubs.
